Teleconference Policy

IN THE 92ND DISTRICT COURT FOR MACKINAC AND LUCE COUNTIES
POLICY 2009-01
TELECONFERENCING POLICY


Pursuant to MCR 2402, any party wishing to appear via teleconferencing shall be responsible for remitting reasonable costs to the 92nd District Court. The cost shall be set at $30 per participant until further order of the Court. All requests for proceedings to be heard via telephone conferencing must be prearranged. Each participant must submit a Telephone Conference Request form and remit payment to the 92nd District Court.

 

The request for civil matters must be made at least seven (7) days prior to the event. If the request is approved, the party requesting must call opposing counsel to inform them of their request and ask if they also would like to participate in telephone conferencing. Opposing counsel vt/ill have four days prior to the event to make their request. Under special circumstances and at the judges discretion, a request made in fewer days may be granted.
